Very very helpful staff, magnificent location just next door to the canal, the breakfast, quite near to the centre, downtown, and the city centre. Lovely bed in the standard double room, plus coffee, a TV, and a kettle.

During my stay, I discovered that this hotel is a perfect starting point for exploring the beautiful region of Friesland. From hiking/biking trails to nearby attractions like the Fries Scheepvaart Museum, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The hotel's location on the edge of Joure provides a peaceful and picturesque setting, just like dining al fresco overlooking the pond. The spacious room I stayed in had a Spanish balcony, which added a touch of charm to my stay. With amenities like free WiFi and a 24-hour front desk, everything was taken care of for a comfortable and convenient experience.
WIFI was poor.

With five energetic children under the age of 16, finding a family-friendly hotel can be a challenge. However, our stay at Haje Hotel Joure exceeded all expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The spacious room provided ample space for our large family, while the whirlpool bath was a hit with the kids. We didn't opt for breakfast, but the hotel's commitment to comfort and hospitality translated into every aspect of our stay. We're already looking forward to our next visit!
For dads, it would be great if the hotel offered more children's activities.

Great food, great views, great location. And let's not forget the extensive safety features, because who doesn't want a fire extinguisher and a first aid kit in their hotel room? So fancy! Just wish they had more English-speaking staff.

We loved the hotel's friendly staff, beautiful location near the canal, and great breakfast with fresh bread and decent coffee. The hotel facilities were basic but aesthetically pleasing, with lovely egg chairs and a nice glasshouse. On-site parking was also appreciated.
Nothing at all.

The countryside views were stunning and it was a great escape from the city. The hotel provides free parking and it was easy to access the bus stop just a few minutes away. Breakfast was decent, particularly the freshly baked bread and delicious coffee. I also loved the unique glasshouse that was very aesthetically pleasing.
Our Easter stay was far from perfect due to some unfortunate experiences. The room we were given had not been cleaned thoroughly and we had to request a deep cleaning. The bed was quite uncomfortable and the pillows were far too soft. To make matters worse, the wifi signal was very poor and unreliable. I would not recommend this hotel for those looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay.
